Arkiripis -
"Welcome to Arkiripis! We accept payment in anti-matter, Federation credits, gold pressed platinum or industrial supplies. Orbits and rates available for every budget!"
Primary Commercial Orbital Facility - PCOF is a huge sprawling space city built into an asteroid towed into orbit around Arkiripis. Sensors show it's also a fortress. with dug in, armored sections and large variety of weapons - Most read Klingon or Orion - Technology purchased and then copied.
If you wanted to attack the fortress, you'd have to massacre the city surrounding it first. The Arkiri built a fortress, and then a trade hub developed around it.
Arkiri destroyers loiter around. They do not have long interstellar legs, but they can trade broadsides with anything in their weight class.
The Military areas of the PCOF have military ship yards building and upgrading their system defense ships - they are very serious about enforcing a no fighting rule in their system.
They have a variety of docks for commercial and mercenary ships, from simple cargo loading and personnel transfer to repair facilities.
Orion Space City - The Orions took over and built their own asteroid city. Almost as large as the Arkiri one, not quite as well armed or defended - its the last major fuel, repair and supply stop before entering The Desert for Orion ships.
The Gateway to the Bear's Land - it's also a major hub for trade into the Bendarri coreward regions.
Star bears in Portugese - Ursos-estrela
Urstrela City. Its run by a trade company that is owned by a coalition of Orion interests - Their main goal is to make money and ensure order.
Pirates - Pirates, mercenaries and adventurers come and go from both PCOF and Ustrela City - the Arkiri do not give a fuck and so neither does Urstrela Company. Klingon, Bendarri or Starfleet ships that try to interfere get attacked by the Arkiri defenses and banned from the system. The Arkiri really really mean no fighting.
Bendarri Consulate—A Small Benarri presence on PCOF. They contract for fuel and support for Bendarri patrollers and try to advance Bendarri interests diplomatically.
Kaskolas Base - a Klingon Starbase. It's not a full Starbase but it's working on it. This is run as a trade base by House Katchar. They also support Klingon commercial, military, mercenary and adventuring ships coming and going. House Katchar is New Klingon and Honorable, so they are not fans of pirates. They'll offer bounties to willing Klingon ships for later, once a known pirate leaves the system.
The base is named for Katchar's great Uncle, who taught him the ways of honor.
They pay rent to the Arkiri for space in their system, and behave in compliance with Arkiri wishes.
They have a large Anti-matter refining operation in system, and use the Anti-matter as money in the Arkiri system.
The Arkiri demand a cut of any resources harvested in their system, but not a big one. They like the economic activity and the increased trade.
-*-
Klingon Intelligence has an operation in the system, as does the Bendarri. There's even a small Starfleet intelligence operation working on PCOF.
The Federation has not made a big presence in the system because of its distaste for how the Arkiri run their system.
All three bases in the system will accept ships from any power coming by, with various levels of hospitality. But the system is a snake pit of espionage and wheel-dealing. Because the Arkiri forbid violence, competition, and confrontation move into an informational realm.
The Arkiri enjoy this and try to scoop up all the info they can get.
-*-
Occasionally, Starfleet stations a ship outside the Arkiripis system to scan everything that moves and report. But they're hampered by too few ships and not enough people.
Ideally, they'd like to have an observation station there, but again, not enough people, yet.

Re: Notes for the New Canada area
There's also a Ferengi trade house operating out of PCOF, with their own support system for Ferengi shipping.
The Ferengi and Arkiri LOVE negotiating a very precise, very finely shaved contract. It would make everyone else's eyes bleed. They speak each other's language. Math, contracts and greed.

USS Gra’van’augh
A Xnida patrol cruiser. The Engines, weapons and power systems are copied from Starfleet systems. The hull itself shows Federation influence. It's patently a Starfleet ship.
But it's an idiomatic design. The Xnida are bigger than most humanoids. The deck heights are higher, the spaces are larger, and the life support system is specialized for Xnida folks. Humans and human sized people can exist on the ship and operate. G'Kra and New Canadian exchange officers often do.
They also have a series of Shuttlecraft built for bigger folk.
Until recently, the Gra’van’augh seriously outgunned any Orion or Klingon raiders she encountered. Everyone finds this new state of affairs concerning.
The G'Kra, being humanoids of the standard size use off-the shelf Starfleet types of ships and equipment.

Acknowledge existence, not much comment.
The wargaming minis, I stuck the nacelles from a E refit on a Klingon D-10. One comment was "I don't know what that is, but I'm afriad of it.
Never had stats fro the thing.

Re: Notes for the New Canada area
I'd like to see pics of that.
Things are getting too complicated in the story. I am doing too much table setting and not enough getting to the point.
so I have to go back and simplify

You do over write your setting and then feel compelled to follow that. Setting is the handmaiden of the story, not the other way around.

Re: Notes for the New Canada area
I think a comparison of my notes and then the resulting stories will disprove that.
But I have to get my bullshit straight before I start bullshitting.
