OOC At this point we lose Jay. My entire drinking carrier was in the 1980s, and it was 99% cheap beer. I don't KNOW how good beer compares to bad beer. It all smells the same to me.

Lydia takes a sip, and stops. "oh."

Haley: "This is really weak stuff."

Jonathan asks for chicken wings all around.

Jeriban: **It's technology of a different flavor. The word "magic" has baggage in your culture. Think of it as a branch of physics you are unfamiliar with.**

Sian: "We're going to wind up carrying tricorders all the time."

Angie: "Would that be a bad thing? Oh waitress, could I get a half pound of bacon please? {To Sian} I'm not as dedicated an herbivore.**

At this point, they order dinner. Sian is surprised that they offer Bolian food.

Stories are being passed around.

Stephanie and Haley are comparing notes, feeling like they are from close alternates of their Star Trek Universe. they don't realize yet that they are actually from the same one. Haley by a roundabout route.

Its clear Stephanie has just not thought about her own past, or the life she left behind to join Starfleet. This bothers Lydia, Haley, and Stephanie.

What to do about that is a little more complex. "Hi, it's me. Sorry I ignored you for 30 years. I was busy."

Stephanie: "Starfleet, an arm of the United Federation of Planets"

Haley "Same, but we might not be from exactly the same one."

Stephanie: "I don't recall having a Niece. This one seems pretty nice."

Haley: "Thank you."

Lydia: "What does this Star Fleet do?"

Stephanie: "We do some of everything. We explore strange new worlds. We patrol around enforcing regulations and discouraging bad guys. We do search and rescue. Disaster relief. We have to be ready to take a shot at everything."

Haley: "I've been in a couple of different Starfleets. My first one got attacked just as I graduated, so our Starfleet turned into a Space Navy pretty quickly. Then for a while, We got mixed up with a temporal enforcement arm. Now, the one I'm in is the peace time Starfleet. We just had to tell the Thasites the war is over. But now it's back to real Starfleet stuff for us."

Stephanie: "Wait, are you guys over in the Fulcrum with that Sixth Admiral Hailey?"

Haley: "Six is his name. Haley is my name. Yes. We met these folks called the Ane and they are smoothing things over for us."

Stephanie: "Huh. I think we're in the same universe."

Haley to Jeriban: "Think Space explorers and Defenders. That's what we do."

Stephanie "And diplomacy."

The door opens. A male Ane enters To those that know he has a mix of indicators. This horns are long, and cross. But his face is fresh and young looking. He is followed by a clearly young female.

Fa'terban: **There is a dead Gorgon outside.**

Angie: **I told you it would die.**
