Ambitions and Goals: To be more famous that Einstein.
Physical/mental Problems: As with most geniuses Ghu Mu possess a degree of monomania. It drives colleagues and her long suffering husband to distraction. However she does break new ground in physics.
Enemies (And Why): Rivals, those that would steal her work. Those that feel the matter transmission process an immoral one. Dr. Kow Ghu Mu is typical of her type in that she considers that truth and science will triumph all comers. That those that don't like her work are Luddites that will evaporate in the light of progress and science. This does not win her friends, but it does influence people.
Special Abilities: A genius with the physical sciences.
Weaknesses/Disadvantages: Too much ego.
History and Experiences Which have Affected Character Greatly: Dr. Kow had her first PhD at the age of 19. A doting husband by 21 and her own department at age 25. In the late 2250s Dr. Kow Ghu Mu (And don't you dare leave off the Doctor) defined the necessary physics of matter transmission that would allow the transporter to be invneted at a later date. Her work was entirely theoretical although she talked the project like it was in the late hardware phase and would replace starships.
Her bold as brass attitude, "I'm right and you're wrong" approach to everything played well on the video channels when her discoverys were being made. It played less well with fellow physicists, and she found her self short of friends, and funding when her ideas ran out.
Dr. Kow Ghu Mu's fame burned fierce and brief. Today, she is little remembered outside of those in the field. She ended her career as the Physics Chair at little known Phnom Phen University, fame and beauty having fled. Only her long and faithful loving Husband remained.
