USS Robert April
The USS Robert April was a late 23rd century Miranda class light cruiser. She was named for the first Captain of the Constitution Class Enterprise.
This was the setting of my first Star Trek Role Playing Game as a Player. Dennis GMed. My Character was "Starfreedom-To-April" - a Sivoan, a cat-people race from Janet Kagan's "Uhura's Song"
I didn't do the "Trek think" well with this character. At one point, in a fit of pique, she dragged a tavern into orbit using the April's tractor beam.
The original time period of this game was the 2280's when most of the Trek movies were set. I had to move it twenty years later to make the time line work out.
Her background over laps with the Ezekiel game and Benson. After being acquitted of charges of incompetence Starfreedom commanded the Benson Starfleet Reserve Center for the rest of her career.
The Miranda Class USS Robert April presumeably went on to have a typical career as a Starfleet ship.
In the DS13 setting, I imagined an Akira Class USS Robert April a 24th century successor to the Miranda Class Robert April.
