Description:
Spaat looks like a Vulcan Football player. He is very wide and large. Typically of large people Spaat is gentle. He feels he has nothing to prove.

Personality:
Spaat is young and impulsive for a Vulcan. He also is not as harsh in his logic as some other Vulcans making him easier to get a long with. He is straight faced, very serious Vulcan Softy.

Skills/training/Professional skills:
Spaat is a trained Starfleet officer with some experience. He is also a Vulcan with excellent training in logic, math, rhetoric and semantics.

Spaat is also skilled in the Modern Vulcan Martial Art of Ponn-Ifla, which is very reminiscent of Aikido, with lots of throws, leverage moves and turning an opponent's attack back upon itself.

Weaknesses:
Spaat assumes everyone is logical and reasonable in his motivations. If his Logic contains an undiscovered flaw, Spaat isn't as liable to notice or correct the mistake as an older Vulcan would be. This can lead Spaat well down the garden path before he discovers his error.

Character Story:

At age 20, was on a team that rescued a Vulcan Elder from a space disaster. Said Elder Remembers Spaat fondly.

At age 21, Spaat is involved in a difficult battle with Pirates. They were defeated, and Spaat was unhurt. This would mark Spaat's first encounter with the conflict between Starfleet, and Surak's Pacifist Philosophy.

At age 22, Spaat Graduates from the Academy, awarded the Rank of Ensign. Later that year, He part of a team that discovers and speaks with an alien bio-technological probe thing. It remembers Spaat fondly.

At age 23, Spaat took an active role in a difficult and arcane philosophical/ethical debate at the Vulcan Academy of Science. The debate was not resolved favorably to Spaat's position, and Spaat bears a social stigma of moderately weak judgment, which he will have to overcome to continue his education at the VAS. This was his original plan when joining Starfleet.
