And from 2014 - There's video from 2024, but the smaller lead singer, Pete Shelly isn't on those recordings and it doesn't sell as well without him

The Sonics came on the scene in 1963. They maintained a raw "Garage" sound for their whole career. They''re considered a precursor to Punk rock.
I can't find any video of them being filmed performing back in the day. But here is their one "big" hit, Strychnine

Re: Old Rockers
The premise is
"Old guys can rock, they just have to do it a little differently than young guys do"
The source of the discussion - Back in the day Van Heln did a re-union tour
When I saw this I was impressed by how much it was NOT working - David Lee Roth is not a young man and he's struggling
This is 2015 .

Two things - earlier in the show DLR mashed his nose up.
And the bands long time bassist and back up vocalist Michael Anthony has been replaced by Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen's son.
Oh, and bear in mind - After David Lee Roth left the band, they picked up Sammy Hagar. So in their "Van Hagar" configuration, they had a whole different set list.
So these guys are climbing back into their old songs after 15 or 20 years - Instrumentally they're right on the money, but they leave DLR behind. They're not playing to their current strengths. It's not 1989 anymore and things do not work the same.
