Doctor's appointment 9-9-2019
Welp, the punch line, I have protein in my urine. A level that suggests kidney damage.
Sooooo. I don't know if I will be able to recover my DOT card and resume working for PTI
This has me pretty down. I hope something else will come up to cover

Well fuckerdoodles.
Apparently long term diet Soda drinking can damage the kidneys. But I only really started drinking the stuff a couple of years ago trying to cut down on sodas with high fructose corn syrup. Not because I think HSCS is magically dangerous, but its pure sugar, so it goes straight to my beach ball belly
But - that doesn't explain the quick damage. This happened since Dec 2018.
But for now, I am cutting out diet soda as I can until I find out more

Muscle inflammation? That will put protein in the urine as well. Lord knows if diet soda put protein in the urine my support of PepsiCo would be showing up.jayphailey wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 12:18 amWell fuckerdoodles.

I realize its been a while since this was posted, but how is your blood pressure?
hypertension will also cause kidney damage, and many blood pressure meds also affect the kidneys.

Well if it does, I happen to know of several medications that can help.
Though I would recommend trying to lower sodium and exercise and caffeine reduction first. Fewer side effects

Sodium is not always the issue. You can have high blood pressure without a sodium problem.
By Caffeine alone do I set my mind in motion. The Java Gives the Shakes, the Shakes give the warning. By Caffeine alone do I set my mind in motion.

True.
Undiagnosed Hypertension is believed to be the main cause of my wife's stroke (almost 2 years ago now). Also caused a fair amount of kidney damage.
So we are keeping an eye on pressure and kidney function
