Where is Project Black 47 and what are they doing?

The Director - a large Tholian. Thinks murder and crime are just fine as a way to deal with the Temporally Diverse.

John Smith - a 0718 type Android, built by a secret Orion Lab. They were building Bootleg Datas. One of his Brothers works for the lab that made Tisha and Teesha the Klinzai clones.

John Smith 0718 went rogue. He offered to upload "Important" people into Android bodies, guaranteeing them immortality. He didn't mention the part where they'd have to obey him. An unknown number of Orion and Klingon big wigs took him up on this.

There's a Tholian-form Android. T-720.

What do Director-47 and T-720 know of John Smiths Operation?

The Tholians, fearing backlash, have cut off Black 47 and The Director. He is said to have gone rogue, and is now an off books fugitive himself.

Since this was a black ops mission, Director-47 took his resources and set up his operation away from the view of Tholian High Command. He was supposed to be deniable.

What does he have? He has a few ships and technology packaged for sale. He WAS using House Beulongeau to sell this stuff.

John Smith came to the Rescue of Director-47. He believes in the mission of killing all temporally diverse people.

He has several big wigs under his control.

House Kodan (I've misplaced the write up) Lord Kodan was vain and shallow enough to reach for eternal youth via Android. So now he is John 0718's pet.

The remains of Project Black 47 have retired to a Tholian friendly planet in Kodans holdings and are resetting. Their tech will be mixed in the Kodan's to make Tholian/Klingon fusion ships.

John 0718 remodels his exterior to look Klingon and becomes Ch'on, an advisor to Lord Kodan.

T-720 is disturbed by John's initiative and extracurricular activities. They are not loyal to Director 47 the way John has made his downline loyal to him (Their brains are closer copies of Datas) T-72o is now working on a way to escape John 0718 and protect Director 47.

A shadow war has started in the Klingon Empire and the Orion Sphere. Word has gotten out that people have been replaced by androids - but no one knows WHO.

So this leads to a wave of paranoia and suspicion

Smart leaders say "We need to define the problem and design workable tactics to protect ourselves."

Less smart leaders say "Prove YOU'RE not an android RIGHT NOW!"

So, in time, there will be advanced android sensors around - especially if any given Android replacement can be found and examined in any detail.

If I had been foreshadowing any of this say in "Federation News" segments

Real Klingon raids against New Klingon and Orions holdings have gone up in effectiveness - New Klingons are suffering defeats and analysts are struggling to find a new pattern.

Inside Klingon High command Thought Admirals are concerned - these raids are setting a table - they're starting to shape things for a future conflict. They're attacks on systems and process, not just locations and material.

These are Android Klingon house lords getting much better at planning.

But I am about to break the Klingon Empire even worse. So they're going to be having a lot of fun.

What hints and breadcrumbs would Project Black 47 have left when they bugged out?

They'd have an Orion support infrastructure that was abandoned. People who worked for John Smith who were abandoned.

At the end of The Golden Path - it's pretty clear Lord Beulongeau was into something. A lot of the Orion support for PB47 was hired through him.

I need to review. Who knew what at the end of that story?

At the same time, Klingon raids into Zhodani space have been failing. The Zhodani have learned to fight and they have gotten weapons upgrades from somewhere.

Their tech is mostly copies of top of the line Klingon stuff.
