The Kongo. As a training ship. Like old Ironsides.
What class?

She goes out with the new Master Chiefs. That's it. They do the biannual turn around cruise now.

Bloop.

If I were teaching a class of Cadets, I'd take them to El-Nanth for a run on the Kongo.

She gets used for that for the local branch. It's a long haul for the Earth location. Starfleet has training ships, nothing quite that old operational. I see the main training ships as two generations removed for the most part. So what the Academy is using now would be 2360s era. Late Dilithum designs.

And of course their version of the USS Dunsel.

Holodecks get used for a lot.

But really, putting your hands on a living museum ship?

I might take a summer to make the trip just because.

The Constitutions is still on my bucket list.

With disodfium El Nanth is four and a half days from Earth. A doable two week outing.

I had done that math. At 3ly per day it's a summer trip.
