The Tysig

Post by jayphailey » Sat Oct 26, 2024 12:18 pm

The clue is in the name of the planets. The Tysig tend toward blond or white hair.

--------

Notes 6-26-2023 The Tysig

Tysig

Blue Humanoids. Slightly better socal insstincts than humans.

G type star, a little larger than Sol Named Peyo

Tysiga - their planet is a moon of a Saturn-type gas giant. Orbits distantly. The Gas Giant and its moons are offset by about 45 degrees from the plane of the ecliptic

Orbit 1 is a hot rockball about the size of Earth Johan

Orbit 2 is an asteroid belt

Orbit 3 is another rock ball Pirlouit

The rock balls act as “shepards” for the asteroid belt.

Orbit 4 is the gas giant. It has rings. Spirou
5 large moons - they can become visible sometimes from Tysiga
7 smaller moons
23 small moons

Orbit 5 is a “Cold Venus” an earth sized ball of rock, with a thick atmosphere of hydrogen and stuff like a gas giant.

Orbit 6 is an Ice giant

Orbit 7 is another ice giant

-*-

World inhabited by both Tysig and humans

Was at 1200’s technology when discovered, 300 million Tysig, about 15 million humans mainly on one continent.

Corvid Raptors - Squirrel bears

Bendarri have taken over one large island (Think New Zealand) and running their own flavor of a PAX project there.

Bendarri have a space station on one of Spirou’s small asteroid moons. It’s a space city. Kajadoro.

Damyip 18 has a space station on another.

Damyip 18 has Anti-matter refineries and automated mining and metal works on Johan. They’re small, but boot strapping.

Working on building infrastructure to feed, supply and repair warships.

-*-

The area is happening, on a nice trade route.

Bendarri Defense Force has a wing of Kajadoro City as a starbase.

A base station mixed with a space city.

-*-

Dinxa Geow City - a City on the coast of the Bendarri Island. A modern town, built around a fishing village. The Tysig people there were suffering a plague when the Bendarri landed, and cured them. This was about 10 years ago.

Since then, The Bendarri have built up a town of about 5000 Bendarri people and 1200 Tysig, of varying ages.

They are known locally and native sailing ships appear to try and trade. Occasionally small groups of natives approach from the jungles.

The sailing ships that appear are both Tysig and native humans

Korataraz Island is tall, narrow, and rugged. Okay for gathering and some farming, but nothing industrial scale.

Sheep-Lizards. Coyak lizards, their skin is really good for leather and lizards are edible. Fat, soft land herbivorous land crocodiles.

Super Corvids - Imagine Crows mixed with Velociraptors. These are ground running pack predators. On the Island they’re small (Foxes. Coyotes and so on) on larger continents they can grow to be T-Rex sized monsters. Kawka

They smart, just this side of sophont, social, curious and inventive. The Tysig make pets of the smaller ones.

They arm themselves against the big ones.

The world has an aggressively large and varied avian population. Fewer mammals and so on.

Bunny-rats.

Colorful sparrows. They’re toxic except to one or two specialized predators. And humans. The bright Sparrows toxins get humans high, but do not cause the misery they do to others.

It is what you are describing, but larger. You want cow sized. Protoceratops is more dog sized.

When I am making stuff up, I am not going to turn it into a research project to make sure what I am or am not duplicating.

We create differently. I do the research. Better yet I do it constantly to the point I knew what a protoceratops was.

The news stories I do for your amusement require at least two Google dives per set. Portland, me papers and a look at the town for a suitable location was one set this time.

Are you saying I should change how I do it?

Has that ever worked before?

No what you do works for you. People create differently.
