Time is timing along

I heard today that Barry Hanson is retiring.
He's 84 and sounds it.
But...
I know him as Doctor Demento. He's been a part of my life since I was 8 or 9.
I went to his website and dropped 3 dollars on what I think is his last show. They'll be adding "Best of" shows for the rest of the year and leaving the archive up indefinitely.
My experience of him is playing funny and satirical music since the mid 1970s
But as Dr Hanson, he's a musicologist, he has the biggest collection of records in the world, and has contributed notably to musical history and preservation.
