There is an old flavor of Unbuntu base in "GNU"
and there is a new version based in "Rust"
Unbuntu is announcing they are replacing GNU based utilities within Unbuntu with Rust flavored ones.

Unbuntu is based around Debian and apt get. SUSE is based on Red Hat and the RMP install. Same kernel, very different management.
