Zed nods: "It has been a while. I was part of a special ops group and we grew tight, but as the war progressed, they spread us out some. Then after the war, I took up a post that seemed to be more of a police officer in an X-Wing than the old missions. I don't even know where any of my old unit are anymore."
Kirt: "After the war...always the hard part for the warriors. You put so much of yourself into the fight, and then no fight. Some never adjust. We had a war as well. Three of them over about 200 years for our very survival (Tommie's face hardens at this) The Humans that fought are dying out. It's been fifty years since the end of the Third Undying War. The old Human warriors are slowly fading away. The scars on the land remain."
Tommie: "The scars on the Elves and the Sauroi remain as well."
Kirt: "Only truth."

Kirt & Tommie: "Here, here."
Kirt: "To friends present, friends that have gone before, and those we have yet to meet."

Tommie: "You have a light saber. Coran and Tesral have spoken of that place."

Zed: "Yes. I have two."
OOC - Zed has a light saber the size of a pen light. Good for stubborn locks and other things where a full sized saber would be unweildy.

OOC: A light Bowie knife. The first time I suggested one to Matt he about had a fit.
Tommie: "So you practice the Force as well?"

What was his objection? At the table where I first played Zed, it was considered weird and perverse, but not something to be explicitly blocked. I didn't know then what I know now about Empire Era Light Laber making.
Tommie: "So you practice the Force as well?"
Zed "I do, Sir."

As a young man he could be very reflexively orthodox.
Zed "I do, Sir."
Tommie: "Yes. A good practice. However you are not in agreement with the Jedi?"
Kirt: "They can be stick in the muds."

Where in the "Scripture" does it outlaw micro-sabers?"
Zed "I do, Sir."

Zed sighs "There is no Jedi Order. Or rather, there hasn't been for the couple of decades. Recently a new Jedi has arisen to restore the Jedi Order. He declared me... Too old. I trained with two Jedi Masters. I felt I was a Jedi knight. But I have been rejected. Now I don't know what I am."

New school: Matt can be very new school. "That which is not permitted is forbidden." The rules did not say you could.
I thought of it and thought it a dandy idea. He was horrified because West End Games had no such rule.

Tommie: "You were trained, why worry about one man's stuck up attitude. Thinking of it Coran did not have much good to say about the Jedi order. He took Palpatine's head off with a Long Sword, made of metal. He brought the light saber idea back,"
