Re: Heat of the Day

Brain, brain, what is brain? Sorry. I have a pinched nerve on my right side. I am now getting occasional "Zing! Zing!" feelings from my right hand. I cannot rest my right arm or hand on a table for very long to write. It starts to hurt. MY Elbow and forearm start to scream. Sleeping is fun. No posi...

Re: Heat of the Day

L1: "Well, we made clear that weapons fire was an alternative, so they chose the reasonable path." Yo’esiy: "Less dangerous, but less chance for loot." L1: "We're not out for loot so much. For us, information about other people is our loot." H1: "Our service is called Starfleet. We're explorers, pe...

Re: Heat of the Day

Yo’esiy: "They were unhappy you stopped them from forcing other people to fight to the death? I don't like rushing to judgment, but. They sound like they could use a few lightning bolts for breakfast. What kind of service are you in? Police, military? You explore but stop illegal fight clubs?" L1: ...

Yo’esiy: "Minotaurs? I do not approve of gladiatorial combat, it is wasteful. And forcing anyone to do it will gainer my wrath."
L1: "Sort of. The folks doing it weren't happy when we showed up and politely asked them to quit."

Re: Heat of the Day

Yo’esiy: "If you need to understand I can try and break it down. The Land of Eternal Light is so because of the Sun Shard. It's a massive caldrea. The Sun Shard is THE Weapon of Legend. It is made from a living piece of the Sun himself. It shines with the light of the Sun. Get too close and you pul...

Re: Heat of the Day

I would assume Greek Gyro is that. Orion dishes are spiced differently, but that is not what she ordered. She got a wonderful juicy goat loaf with onions tomatoes and tzatziki sauce on pita bread of the gods. I want two. I assume here that the Inn wouldn't serve anyone anything that would hurt them...

Re: Notes for the New Canada area

These write ups are a tiny patch on the inns you're making. I thought I was going to have to rebuild the Arkiri. Turnhs out Richard Merk was using a similar description for his bad guys in his old stories. I had an idea, but he said he had no problems with the Arkiri as written Which means I get to ...

Re: Heat of the Day

Yo’esiy: ":You two are full of questions. We were on an interdiction to stop a power hungry fool from committing a bad idea. We ended up in the land of Eternal Light, which was a good thing as we found a crashed ship crew beating off the dinosaurs. We carefully called our ship in, avoiding the Sun ...

You do over write your setting and then feel compelled to follow that. Setting is the handmaiden of the story, not the other way around.
I think a comparison of my notes and then the resulting stories will disprove that.

But I have to get my bullshit straight before I start bullshitting.
